Intensives and Reset Days

Intensives and Reset Days are designed for clients who want focused, intentional support around a specific concern, transition, or emotional pattern. Instead of moving at the pace of weekly therapy, these sessions offer a deeper and more concentrated space to pause, reflect, process, and reset.

This type of work may be helpful for clients who feel stuck, overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or ready to address something that needs more time and attention than a traditional session allows. Intensives can support clients through life transitions, relationship patterns, stress, burnout, grief, identity shifts, body image concerns, or moments when they need clarity and emotional grounding.

It is important to recognize that healing does not always happen through one format. Some clients benefit from ongoing weekly therapy, while others may need a dedicated reset day to slow down, focus on one area, and leave with greater understanding, direction, and practical tools. Therapy intensives provide a structured yet compassionate space to do that work with intention.

Here’s a detailed overview of my therapy services for intensives and reset days:

Focused Assessment and Intention Setting: I begin by exploring what brought the client to the intensive, what they are hoping to understand, and what they would like to feel clearer about by the end of the session. Together, we identify a focused intention for the work.

Emotional Processing: I provide space for clients to process emotions that may feel heavy, confusing, or difficult to access in daily life. This may include sadness, anxiety, anger, grief, shame, uncertainty, or emotional overwhelm.

Pattern Exploration: I help clients explore recurring emotional, relational, or behavioral patterns that may be keeping them stuck. This can include patterns related to boundaries, self-worth, communication, avoidance, perfectionism, people-pleasing, or self-criticism.

Nervous System Reset: I support clients with grounding tools, mindfulness practices, and regulation strategies to help the body and mind feel calmer, safer, and more present during and after the intensive.

Life Transition Support: I work with clients navigating major life changes such as midlife transitions, career shifts, relationship changes, parenting changes, grief, aging, caregiving, or changes in identity and self-perception.

Midlife and Menopause Body Image Reset: This specialized track supports clients who are experiencing changes in their body, identity, confidence, or relationship with themselves during midlife or menopause. Therapy can offer space to process body image concerns, emotional changes, self-criticism, grief around change, and the desire to reconnect with the body in a more compassionate way.

Self-Compassion and Identity Work: I help clients reconnect with their values, needs, strengths, and sense of self. This work can support clients in moving away from harsh self-judgment and toward greater self-understanding and acceptance.

Practical Tools and Next Steps: I provide clients with tools and strategies they can continue using after the intensive. This may include reflection exercises, grounding practices, communication tools, journaling prompts, or personalized next steps.

Integration and Reflection: I support clients in making meaning of what came up during the intensive and identifying how to carry that insight into daily life. This helps create a bridge between the session and continued growth.

Continued Support: When appropriate, I offer follow-up sessions or ongoing therapy to help clients continue processing, practicing new tools, and maintaining progress after the intensive.

Overall, my intensives and reset days are compassionate, focused, and tailored to each client’s unique needs. Through intentional therapeutic support, clients can create space to slow down, process what feels unresolved, reconnect with themselves, and move forward with greater clarity, steadiness, and self-compassion.
